For franchise operations teams
For the team accountable for getting stores open
Franchise operations, projects, and expansion teams carry a launch process that lives across five departments and a dozen sites at once. This is software shaped around that job specifically.
What changes, by role
A launch involves people with very different relationships to it. The tool has to work for all of them, not just the person who bought it.
Head of operations / expansion
Today
You're accountable for openings across the whole portfolio, and your view of it is a weekly status call plus whatever the coordinator has managed to collect.
With FranchiseLaunch
A portfolio view of every active launch with its date, progress, and at-risk flag — so the weekly call becomes a review of exceptions rather than an exercise in data collection.
Launch / project coordinator
Today
You spend most of your week chasing status by phone and chat, then transcribing it into a spreadsheet that's out of date by the time you finish.
With FranchiseLaunch
The people doing the work update their own tasks from their phones. Your job goes from collecting status to acting on it.
Legal, Accounts, and Operations reviewers
Today
Approval requests arrive as messages that compete with your inbox. Nobody, including you, can see what's waiting or how long it's been there.
With FranchiseLaunch
One queue of everything waiting on your department, across every store, with the evidence attached and the opening date visible so you can triage properly.
Site teams and contractors
Today
You're asked for updates repeatedly by different people, and there's no record that you already answered.
With FranchiseLaunch
Open the app, see your next task, update it, attach a photo. Asked and answered once, visible to everyone who needed it.
Franchise partners
Today
It's your store and your money, and you find out about delays when you ask.
With FranchiseLaunch
A free read-only view of your own location's progress, updating in real time.
What you should expect to change
- Openings stop slipping on tasks that crossed a department boundary and had no owner
- "I thought that was approved" stops being possible, because approval is a state rather than a belief
- A moved opening date reflows the plan instead of leaving forty stale dates behind
- Postmortems become a lookup in the activity trail rather than an argument about memory
- Process improvements land in the master checklist and reach every launch created afterwards
The mechanics behind each of these are on the features page. If you want the underlying process first, start with the full store launch checklist and the 90-day timeline.
Questions from operations teams
How many stores do you need to be opening for this to be worth it?
Roughly ten launches a year is where teams tell us the spreadsheet stops holding. Below that, a shared document or a general project tool is often fine. The stronger signal than volume is departments: if Legal, Accounts, and Operations all have to sign off during a launch, the coordination cost shows up much earlier than the volume alone would suggest.
Does it work for company-owned stores, not just franchised ones?
Yes. The process of opening a location — site, licensing, fit-out, systems, hiring, stock, opening week — is the same whether the store is franchised or company-owned. The franchise-specific part is the free read-only partner access, which company-owned rollouts simply don't use.
What does rollout look like?
Enter your existing launch checklist as the master template, then create your next launch from it. There's no implementation project and no board schema to design. Most teams run one real launch on the free plan before committing.
Will contractors and site staff actually use it?
That's the design constraint the mobile app is built around. Someone assigned a task opens the app and sees that task — no navigation, no training. If the people on site won't use it, none of the rest of it matters, so that's the part we optimised hardest.
Run your next launch on it, on the free plan
